Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Associate Transport Planner to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in Godalming. The role focuses on leading UK transport planning projects and delivering transport assessments with high-quality reporting.

You will apply strong knowledge of UK transport policy, use Junctions 11 and LinSig, and mentor junior team members while liaising with planning authorities and clients. Permanent hybrid role with career development.

Qualifications

• Degree within Transport Planning or related discipline.
• Strong post-qualification experience within a UK transport consultancy.
• Strong working knowledge of UK transport planning policy and standards.
• Proficient with Junctions 11 and LinSig junction modelling software.
• Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• Ability to liaise with clients, local authorities and project teams.
• Full UK driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver transport planning projects across the UK.
• Oversee transport assessments, statements and supporting documentation.
• Provide technical advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with local planning authorities and highway authorities.
• Mentor more junior team members and contribute to their professional development.
