The ideal candidate will manage transport assessments and engage with clients while providing mentorship to junior staff. Associate Transport Planner – London
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (DOE)
Are you an experienced Transport Planner ready to take the next step in your career? We're working with a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy that’s expanding its dynamic transport planning team. They're on the lookout for an Associate-level professional to lead exciting residential, commercial, and industrial development projects.
This role is based in central London, supporting the wider team in Billericay, and is ideal for either:
- A current Associate Transport Planner seeking a new challenge, or
- A strong Principal Transport Planner ready to step up.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the delivery of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and contributions to Environmental Statements
- Managing resources and project delivery from start to finish
- Engaging directly with clients, design teams, and local authorities
- Supporting masterplanning and access strategies for developments (200–1000+ units)
- Providing mentorship and technical support to junior team members
- Ensuring work aligns with design standards and internal quality systems
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience managing transport planning projects
- Strong communication skills and client-facing experience
- Familiarity with design standards, including junction and access design
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and motivate others
