Overview

Associate Town Planner - London. Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a highly regarded planning consultancy in their search for an Associate Town Planner to join their London office. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior role within one of the UK's most respected planning firms, working on a diverse range of complex and high-profile projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on a variety of major planning applications, appeals, and strategic projects across London and the South East.
  • Provide expert planning advice to clients across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and regeneration schemes.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring excellent service delivery and repeat business.
  • Contribute to the management and mentoring of junior planners, supporting their professional development.
  • Play an active role in business development and work winning, helping to expand the firm's client base.
  • Represent clients at planning committees, hearings, and inquiries.
About You
  • An RTPI-accredited degree and full Chartered Membership of the RTPI.
  • Extensive experience in planning consultancy, particularly within the London market.
  • A strong track record of managing complex planning projects.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
