Job summary

PropSource Consulting in Edinburgh is seeking an Associate Town or EIA Planner to join a national, independent planning consultancy with a strong Renewable Energy track record. You will work across retail, residential, industrial and other sectors in a friendly, non-corporate environment.

Hybrid working with 2–3 days in the office, networking events and hands-on mentoring from a highly respected director. 7–10 years' experience in Renewable Energy or EIA preferred, with appetite for BD and line

Qualifications

• 7–10 years planning experience, preferably in Renewable Energy or EIA.
• Experience with Scottish and/or English planning systems is a plus.
• Self-starter, team player in a no-ego environment.
• Willingness to develop business relationships and line-manage a junior planner.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning projects in Renewable Energy and related sectors.
• Support business development and client relationship building.
• Mentor and line-manage a Junior Planner.
• Collaborate with Edinburgh team and cross-office colleagues.

I’m looking for an Associate Town or EIA Planner to join an established, national team for an independent planning consultancy that have a highly regarded reputation and presence in the Renewable Energy industry due to an increase in a successful project pipeline.

Renewable energy is not all they do, there’s an opportunity to get involved with retail, residential, industrial, commercial and other projects.

You would be joining.a friendly, close-knit and non-corporate environment that has no red tape in terms of progression, autonomy with projects or processes. The Edinburgh team are lead by a highly experienced and impressive leader who has a great network of clients and contacts within the market who is extremely personable and is a highly commended line manager.

What I’m looking for:

• A self sufficient Planner with between 7-10 years experience, ideally in Renewable Energy or EIA.
• Experience in either the Scottish or English planning systems - both is even better.
• A self starter, team player - this is a ‘no-ego’ team.
• Confidence and experience or keen to get involved with business development.
• Willingness to line manage a Junior Planner.
