Job summary

Matchtech on behalf of a client is seeking an Associate Technical Director for the Water sector, based in Fleet. The role leads multidisciplinary teams delivering water and wastewater projects, shaping technical strategy and ensuring high performance across design and delivery phases.

You will engage with senior leadership, drive business growth, and influence project outcomes while upholding safety, quality and environmental standards within UK frameworks.

Qualifications

• Degree level engineering qualification in Mechanical, Civil, Process, Environmental or related field.
• CEng status preferred or progression toward chartership.
• Strong background in water and wastewater treatment design and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and coordination across teams to ensure alignment with objectives and excellence.
• Lead technical delivery of water and wastewater projects, integrating processes across disciplines.
• Mentor and develop engineers, driving high performance in fast-paced projects.
• Develop and maintain trusted client relationships and framework partnerships.
• Oversee project delivery, programme performance and commercial controls.
• Support business development and contribute to framework growth and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and internal governance.
• Contribute to recruitment and resource planning for sustainable growth.
