Role overview:

We seek an ambitious and experienced Associate Director to join our Project & Program Controls team within the Digital PMO pillar of our Programme Leadership & Management (PL&M) team. The ideal candidate will have strong project and programme controls expertise, particularly in water, energy, and environmental sectors, and will develop best practices for project delivery.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support strategic decisions related to project controls within PL&M
  • Lead, mentor, and ensure compliance of project controls professionals
  • Manage quality and commercial standards for projects
  • Implement and oversee project controls strategies
  • Collaborate with project managers, providing insights and advice
  • Analyze project performance, communicate progress, issues, and opportunities
  • Coordinate project controls activities, meet deadlines, and report insights
  • Resolve complex project issues, ensuring reflections in controls products
Required skills and qualifications:
  • Proven project controls experience in the construction industry
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify gaps and develop solutions
  • Ability to work effectively under ambiguity and pace
  • Leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills for complex scenarios
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with professional qualification or chartered status
  • Solid understanding of cost, planning, change, and contract management, especially NEC contracts
