An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Tax Associate to join the London office of a prestigious US law firm. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the firm’s tax practice, advising on a wide range of tax matters related to M&A, joint ventures, demergers, IPOs, and group reorganisations. Additionally, the role involves handling standalone tax advisory work, tax disputes, and enquiries.

Candidates must be a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4 years PQE, from a top-tier law firm. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to run complex transactions independently and provide strategic tax advice to clients.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile, cross-border transactions, collaborating with marquee clients and a talented legal team. The firm seeks a driven, confident professional with a track record of leadership in managing complex tax matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on tax aspects of M&A, joint ventures, IPOs, and demergers
• Lead tax advisory services on group reorganisations, disputes, and enquiries
• Manage and run complex, high-value tax transactions independently

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with 4+ years PQE from a leading law firm. The client would be open to US or Common Law backgrounds.
• Extensive experience in tax law, including running transactions independently
