Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate specializing in renewable energy to join our SES team. Our team has a national presence, and we welcome applications from candidates who can commute to any of our offices across the UK.

Your role will include:
  • Acting as the technical and project lead for grid-scale/Front of the Meter renewable energy and storage consultancy projects, primarily battery and solar power, with experience in other technologies beneficial.
  • Overseeing project delivery for your portfolio.
  • Managing and developing client relationships.
  • Managing project finances.
  • Resource management for the team.
  • Leading, recruiting, and developing team members.

Candidate requirements:

Ideally, you will have experience in:

  • Grid connection processes for renewable projects (20-500MW scale)
  • Renewable energy and storage development, including market and revenue streams
  • Technical knowledge of renewable and energy storage technologies
  • Working with TNO/DNO and renewable project development
  • Planning processes for various project scales
  • Supply chain and partner engagement
  • Industry changes and opportunities

Beneficial but not essential:

  • Business development in renewables
  • Team operations and resource planning
  • Management of junior staff
  • Process and technical improvements
