We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced MRICS Associate based in Birmingham to work within our Infrastructure team. As an Associate you will be required to provide a property service with a rural focus including compensation relating to temporary and permanent acquisition, along with the valuation of rural land and property. As part of your role, you will assist in leading, developing and delivering 'best in class' strategic and tactical advice to our clients in the infrastructure sector.

  • Valuation of land and property.
  • Negotiation of compensation claims.
  • Develop and undertake new business/relationship opportunities and drive forward initiatives in the local area with a particular focus on Claimants/landowners
  • An active role in the continuous development of efficient, ‘best practice’ internal systems and processes, optimising IT and other resources.
  • Implementation of policy as required and ensuring legal compliance on all work carried out.
  • Management of surveyors working across the team
  • Mentoring and coaching junior members of the team through their professional development

What does it take to be successful?

You will be a MRICS Surveyor and Registered Valuer with experience gained within the Rural sector and ideally possess a strong understanding of Compulsory Purchase/Compensation knowledge. This role requires you to have a business development-orientated attitude, with a key focus on providing excellent customer service. We are also looking for you to have the ability to drive business initiatives forward in a confident and personable manner whilst maintaining and establishing relationships. Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a driving licence are essential.
