Job Description

Checkout.com is actively looking for a passionate and driven Associate to join the Strategic Finance team, covering Corporate Strategy, Corporate Finance, M&A, Investor Relations, and Board/Management Reporting.

Strategic Finance is a critical function sitting at the center of the broader finance team to help the CEO, CFO and other senior leaders allocate resources, prepare for Board meetings, execute Corporate Finance transactions, manage investor relations, and drive strategic projects including M&A. You’ll play a central role in driving the corporate and financial strategy for a rapidly growing payments Fintech.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Building financial models to evaluate business initiatives (e.g., new products, M&A, new geographies)
  • Analysing business performance across geographies, business lines, cohorts to deliver actionable insights
  • Preparing board and management updates to support decision making
  • Evaluating strategy related to existing or new initiatives around products, geographies, and segments
  • Monitor existing M&A investments and support diligence and execution of M&A
  • Assist in preparing for and executing Corporate Finance transactions
  • Preparing investor presentations, refining equity story, maintaining investor databases, responding to investor information requests
  • Monitoring competitor intelligence and key industry trends
About You
  • 2-4 years of Investment Banking, Strategic Finance, Management Consulting, or Private Equity experience
  • Self-starter able to drive projects and dive into the details
  • Strong Excel, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communicator and collaborator - ability to clearly articulate insights, influence and align stakeholders, and drive projects
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive about identifying problems and implementing solutions
  • Experience in Financial Services/Payments or M&A a plus, but not required
  • Interest in Payments, Fintech, Technology
