Job description

Triple West Medical have been appointed by an NHS Trust based in the Nottingham area to help recruit an Associate Specialist / Consultant Psychiatrist – General Adults on a substantive or FTC bases.

The Trust provide a range of mental health, learning disability and substance misuse services for over 1 million people with over 30 sites. The successful candidate will join a friendly department of Psychiatrists whose service include inpatient, community services, specialist services, and emergency services. Career progression and development is encouraged and supported.

Brief Duties:

Provide expert assessments for patients with mental health difficulties referred by General Practitioners from the designated catchment area or transferred from other services within the Trust
Develop risk assessment and management plans in conjunction with the Multidisciplinary team, service user, carers and other involved agencies
Proactively liaise with other mental health teams and primary care to ensure continuity of care and appropriate information sharing
Contribute to the development of modern Community Mental Health Services
Develop and oversee the implementation of care planning
Provide evidence-based bio-psychosocial interventions to promote recovery and social inclusion
Actively contribute to the clinical governance programme
Involvement in the teaching of junior doctors and medical students
