Job summary

Clarivate Analytics in London seeks an Associate Solution Architect – Treasury & Tax Platforms to design and evolve global tax and treasury technology. You will work with ERP, tax engines, e-invoicing, Treasury Management Systems, and banking connectivity to enable scalable, secure, and audit-ready financial operations, with API-first integrations.

The role collaborates with senior architects, product owners and finance stakeholders, contributing to data models, SOX controls, and cloud-based ERP

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Tax, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems, integrations, or solution-architecture-adjacent roles with primary exposure to tax technology.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with tax engines, ERP platforms, and payment/tax platforms.
  • Exposure to multi-country tax implementations, e‑invoicing mandates, or regulatory reporting initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of O2C, P2P, and R2R tax processes and data flows.
  • Familiarity with VAT/GST, SAF‑T, PEPPOL, and tax data governance concepts.
  • Experience with tax data sources, reporting frameworks, and auditability in SaaS/cloud environments.
  • Experience with middleware/iPaaS (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi).
  • Cloud exposure across AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of tax and treasury solution architectures aligned with global compliance and finance requirements.
  • Assist in designing and implementing integrations between tax engines, ERP systems, and e‑invoicing platforms.
  • Contribute to solutions supporting automated tax calculation, e‑invoicing, and payment reconciliation through treasury systems.
  • Help define and maintain tax‑related integration standards, API specifications, and data models.
  • Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and security assessments for tax and financial data.
  • Support testing activities including integration testing, UAT, and regression testing for tax/treasury flows.
  • Document non‑functional requirements such as auditability, data lineage, performance, and disaster recovery.

We are seeking an Associate Solution Architect – Treasury & Tax Platforms to support the design, integration, and evolution of global tax and treasury technology solutions. In this role, you will contribute to system architecture across ERP platforms, tax engines, e-invoicing solutions, Treasury Management Systems, and banking connectivity, helping enable scalable, secure, and audit-ready financial operations. You will work closely with senior architects, product owners, engineering teams, and tax and finance stakeholders to implement API-first integrations, modern payment and e-invoicing connectivity, and compliant tax solutions. If you bring strong systems thinking, hands‑on integration experience, and an interest in building enterprise finance platforms, we’d love to hear from you.

About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments
  • – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Tax, Finance, or a related field.
  • – 5+ years of experience in systems, integrations, or solution-architecture-adjacent roles, with primary exposure to tax technology.
  • – 5+ years of hands‑on experience working with one or more of the following: Tax engines such as ONESOURCE or Vertex ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle EBS, or Oracle Fusion Treasury or payment platforms such as Kyriba or bank portals
  • – 5+ years of experience supporting tax‑related system integrations, enhancements, or compliance initiatives under the guidance of senior architects. Exposure to multi‑country tax implementations, e‑invoicing mandates, or regulatory reporting initiatives.
  • – It Would Be Great If You Also Had Solid understanding of finance and tax process flows across: Order-to-Cash (O2C), with emphasis on indirect tax calculation Procure-to-Pay (P2P), including tax determination and validation Record-to-Report (R2R), including tax reporting and reconciliation
  • – Working knowledge of: Indirect tax concepts including VAT, GST, sales and use tax, and withholding tax E‑invoicing and digital tax compliance models such as PEPPOL, clearance models, and SAF‑T concepts
  • – Familiarity with treasury touchpoints related to tax, including: Tax payments and settlements Bank integrations and payment methods (ACH, wires, SEPA)
  • – Ability to contribute to: API‑based and event‑driven integration designs for tax and payment data Data models for tax codes, jurisdictions, rates, and transaction taxability Basic to intermediate experience with: SQL and data analysis API tools such as Postman or Swagger Experience with tax data sources and reporting frameworks such as VAT returns, SAF‑T, or e‑invoicing audits. Background in SaaS and cloud‑based ERP transformations. Professional certifications related to tax technology. Experience with middleware or iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft or Boomi. Familiarity with SOX controls, audit requirements, and tax data governance. Cloud exposure across AWS, GCP, or Azure.

  • – Contribute to solutions supporting: Automated tax calculation and validation E‑invoicing, digital reporting, and compliance workflows Payment processing and reconciliation through treasury systems
  • – Help define and maintain tax‑related integration standards, API specifications, and data models.
  • – Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and security assessments related to tax and financial data.
  • – Support testing activities including integration testing, UAT, and regression testing for tax and treasury flows.
  • – Assist with documentation of non‑functional requirements such as auditability, data lineage, performance, and recovery objectives.
  • – Collaborate with tax, treasury, finance, and engineering stakeholders to deliver compliant and reliable solutions.
Product You Will Be Developing

You will support enterprise tax technology solutions, integrating platforms such as ONESOURCE and Vertex with ERP and treasury systems. Your work will focus on automation, data accuracy, compliance, data lineage architecture, and scalability, enabling tax teams to operate efficiently at a global scale.

About the Team

You will work closely with tax, finance, and engineering teams. The team collaborates on global tax compliance, process automation, and ERP integration initiatives, ensuring scalable and efficient tax operations.

Hours of Work

Full‑time permanent position primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed. Hybrid position working 2–3 days/week on‑site. Must live within a commutable distance to one of our office locations: Philadelphia, Ann Arbor, Alexandria or Kansas City offices in the US, or our London office
