England & Wales Solicitor

Job description

Eldwick Law is seeking an Associate Solicitor to join its growing sanctions and investigations practice in London.

We are an independent specialist law firm advising corporate and individual clients on complex cross-border disputes, international sanctions, and regulatory matters.

The firm is ranked in Chambers UK 2027 for Sanctions and Dispute Resolution (Specialist Firms) and The Legal 500 UK 2027 for Commercial Litigation: Mid-Market (London).

We are looking for a commercially minded solicitor with experience in sanctions, white-collar crime and regulatory investigations who is interested in developing their career within a specialist practice.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the firm’s partners on a broad range of contentious and advisory matters, including:

  • UK and international financial sanctions, including asset freezes, ownership and control, and OFSI licensing.
  • Corporate and regulatory investigations, including matters involving the SFO, FCA, NCA and other enforcement authorities.
  • White-collar crime, financial crime and allegations of fraud, bribery, corruption and money laundering.
  • Proceeds of Crime Act matters, including asset recovery, restraint and forfeiture proceedings.
  • Cross-border investigations and disputes involving complex regulatory and financial issues.
  • Advising corporate entities and individuals on sanctions compliance, enforcement exposure and related regulatory obligations.
The Candidate

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

  • Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales, ideally with 2–5 years’ PQE, although candidates outside this range will also be considered.
  • Experience in sanctions, corporate crime, financial crime or regulatory investigations gained at a recognised law firm or specialist practice.
  • Strong analytical, drafting and legal research skills.
  • Experience managing matters and communicating directly with clients.
  • An interest in complex, international and commercially sensitive matters.
  • The ability to work independently and take responsibility within a small, highly focused team.

Experience in both sanctions advisory work and contentious regulatory investigations would be particularly advantageous.

Why Eldwick Law?

This is an opportunity to join a growing, independently owned law firm with an established reputation in specialist disputes and sanctions work.

Unlike larger practices, our associates work directly with partners, take meaningful responsibility for matters and gain exposure to complex international instructions from an early stage.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of our sanctions and investigations practice, working on sophisticated matters for an international client base.
