Associate Solicitor – Construction & Engineering
Location:Newcastle (Hybrid Working Available)
Sector:Infrastructure, Residential Development, Public Sector Projects


Will consider those from a commercial contracts/projects background looking to move into construction.


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join a leading Construction & Engineering team, based in Newcastle, working across a broad spectrum of high-value, non-contentious construction matters.


The Role
You will work closely with senior lawyers and partners, advising on and drafting a variety of construction contracts, including:

  • NEC4 framework and call-off contracts
  • Consultant appointments
  • Pre-construction service agreements
  • Bespoke contract forms

You’ll also gain hands-on experience managing client relationships, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to business development efforts.


What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in construction contracts or a strong background in commercial contracts/projects
  • A solid academic track record
  • Excellent attention to detail and drafting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • A collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in the infrastructure and projects space
