Associate Service & Installation Engineer

Reports to: Installation Manager

Job Overview:

DeGould is seeking two motivated and customer-focused individuals to join their team. No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided, along with sponsorship for electrical qualifications. After training, you will be responsible for traveling abroad regularly, sometimes at short notice, to service, maintain, and install systems while ensuring professional customer interactions. The role includes diagnosing errors, fixing faults, following company protocols, and collaborating with the technical team. Enhancements offered for travel and installations that are completed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The main deliverables of the role are:

  • Installing DeGould systems in global OEM plants.
  • Undertaking routine maintenance and servicing of systems in customer facilities.
  • The timely provision of customer support and fault finding, remotely and on site.
  • Adhering to agreed service level agreements.
  • Complying with all relevant DeGould and customer processes, including meeting standards for quality control, accounting, H&S and documentation.

Detailed duties of the role include:

  • Delivering against the agreed project KPIs, including time and cost.
  • Always ensuring a positive image.
  • Checking and validating the statement of work, organising any site-specific setup and installation steps.
  • Ongoing support and maintenance including providing out of hours support by being ‘on call’;
  • Executing tasks on site and in the workshop, including electrical component assembly and testing.
  • Keeping accurate records in accordance with DeGould’s CRM, ISO9001 and 140001 standards.
  • Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required to fulfil DeGould’s commitments to customers and achieve the overall objectives of the business.

About You:

Requirements

  • Full UK Driver’s License.
  • Full passport with residency in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Use and knowledge of both electrical and mechanical hand tools.
  • Basic networking knowledge.
  • Drive and determination to get the job done.
  • Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Understanding of quality control or health and safety requirements.
