Senior/ Associate Electrical Design Engineer

Greater Bristol Area

Hybrid working: 3/4 days per week on-site

Salary range DOE: £51,000 - £70,000 + Benefits + Bonus

Summary

Our client based across Greater Bristol requires a Senior/ Associate Electrical Design Engineer to support dynamic building services and low carbon design. You will work at the forefront of low energy building design.

Main responsibilities

1. Lead Electrical Engineers across multiple projects
2. Utilize AutoCAD/Revit and supervise drawings in 2D/3D design
3. Monitor progress on-site and prepare regular reports and specifications
4. Support design teams and clients during the project design phase
5. Supervise junior engineers
6. Represent the company with clients and support business development
7. Manage project finances

Essential requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) membership of a recognized professional institution
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• At least 6 years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings
• Experience with sustainable projects
• Ability to lead projects and teams (management and leadership skills)
• Experience with software such as Amtech, AutoCAD, Revit, IES, or Dialux (not all required)

Desirable qualities

• 7+ years of experience in designing electrical systems for buildings
• Knowledge of emerging green technologies (e.g., battery storage, photovoltaics, EV charging)
• Highly experienced in Revit
