Overview

Role Overview: As an Associate or Senior Associate Solar PV Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of rooftop solar PV installations across commercial properties, while playing a strategic role in developing the service line, mentoring junior staff, and driving business growth. You will work closely with ESG, Project Management, and other service teams to ensure projects are delivered to high standards of safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of solar PV projects, from feasibility through commissioning.
  • Oversee technical design packs including layouts, schematics, and component specifications.
  • Manage procurement, contractor selection, and site mobilisation.
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety standards (e.g. RC62), planning regulations, and ESG targets.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients, tenants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and project managers.
  • Contribute to service development and cross-selling of Hollis offerings (e.g. BREEAM, EPC, battery storage, fire safety).
  • Support business development and tendering activities.
  • Maintain project timelines using MS Project and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with other service leads to identify growth opportunities and respond to regulatory changes.
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in solar PV or related project management.
  • Chartered status or equivalent (e.g. MRICS, NICEIC, SolarEdge certified).
  • Proven leadership in delivering commercial-scale solar PV projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, PV modules, inverters, and surge protection.
  • Familiarity with RECC, ECA, Safe Contractor, and ESG frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites across the UK.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in ESG reporting and carbon savings analysis.
  • Knowledge of structural assessments and DNO coordination.
  • Familiarity with digital metering and solar reception systems.
  • Ability to contribute to internal training and competency development using frameworks like APM.
