Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join a leading Cardiff-based procurement and public sector practice. You will advise public bodies, charities and commercial organisations on procurement exercises, tender processes and complex commercial contracts.

This role offers exposure to major public sector projects and long-term client relationships, with an emphasis on practical, commercially-focused advice and progression within a growing team.

The Role

You’ll advise a broad client base, including public bodies, charities, education providers and commercial organisations, on a range of procurement and commercial matters.

Your work will include:

• Supporting clients through procurement exercises and tender processes
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts
• Advising on outsourcing, collaboration, framework and grant agreements
• Working on major public sector, technology, regeneration and infrastructure projects
• Providing practical advice on contract management, variations and risk issues

Candidate Requirements

We’re interested in hearing from solicitors who have experience in:

• Commercial contracts, procurement or public sector projects
• Drafting and negotiating complex agreements
• Providing commercially focused, pragmatic advice
• Managing matters with an appropriate level of autonomy

Knowledge of public procurement law would be advantageous, although candidates from a strong commercial contracts background looking to specialise further in this area are also encouraged to apply.

You’ll be a confident communicator, commercially aware and keen to play a key role in a growing practice area.
