Job Description:

About us

The market-leading public sector DWF practice is looking to appoint multiple new procurement experts and is interested in hearing from associates, senior associates, and directors seeking to further their careers and advise on leading non-contentious and contentious procurement matters.

DWF is a global legal business providing high-quality legal services across legal advice and managed services. We empower people to be themselves within an inclusive and supportive environment, enabling everyone to achieve their full potential in line with their abilities and career aspirations.

About the role

The Public Sector is one of the firm's biggest growth areas, servicing 19 national and regional framework agreements (including CCS RM6179, 6240, Welsh Government, Scottish Government, EmLawshare, LBLA, NEPO, and others), leading to significant sales to public sector bodies in the UK and strategic suppliers to central and local government clients.

If you're interested in joining the firm's Procurement Centre of Excellence, comprising over 30 specialist procurement lawyers, you'll benefit from:

  • An extensive internal and external training program for colleagues and clients, including webinars in 2024;
  • Regular training sessions from leading barristers on case law updates;
  • Thought leadership articles focused on key issues for clients;
  • An internal Procurement Portal with procurement precedent documents and advice;
  • Enhanced responses to requests from public sector clients and strategic suppliers.

About you

We are keen to hear from candidates with a good understanding of public procurement law, at least 4 years PQE, who wish to further develop their procurement expertise in a supportive environment.

What we offer

This role is hybrid, with at least 50% of the time spent in the office, based in any of DWF's regional offices (Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle).

At DWF, we value our team members and offer a comprehensive rewards package tailored to individual and family needs. We are committed to providing support and adjustments for all candidates. For more details, follow this link.
