Associate Director – Medical Strategy

My client, a fast-growing global health company, is looking for Associate Directors to join their expanding team. This role is ideal for individuals with a scientific and medical background who thrive under pressure and are eager to lead teams, enhance medical content, and build strong client relationships. Focus areas include content creation, team management, and strategic planning.

Candidates should ideally have experience in diagnostics, rare diseases, or women's health.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support teams and collaborate to create outstanding medical content across various therapy areas, exceeding client expectations.
  2. Engage with clients constructively to understand their perspectives, improve ideas, and provide alternative viewpoints.
  3. Guide teams to operate effectively, confidently, and efficiently, even under pressure.
  4. Identify opportunities for organic growth by understanding client and stakeholder interests and working with strategic contacts.
  5. Lead and implement account strategies in collaboration with medical writing and client service teams, utilizing your Medical Strategist skills.
  6. Facilitate internal meetings and client workshops confidently.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in medical education or similar fields, especially managing medical writers and strategists.
  2. Proven success in client interactions.
  3. Deep knowledge of healthcare, science, medicine, and the pharmaceutical sector.
  4. Strong academic background.
  5. Excellent relationship-building, presentation skills, and articulate communication.
  6. Proactive, motivated, resourceful, with good prioritization skills and data engagement.
  7. Highly organized, able to work independently, and meet tight deadlines.
