Job description

Associate Research and Evaluation Director

Associate Director – Research & Evaluation – Employment, Welfare and Skills

London (Hybrid Working)

£Competitive Salary + Bens

Our client, a global research agency that is entwined in society and famous for thought leadership and polling, continues to have fantastic successes and growth stories in their public and commercial research practice. They are keen to add an Associate Director with experience in research and evaluation to help them continue to deliver high-quality and impactful end-to-end research & evaluation solutions to their clients.

This role sits within their social research practice and specifically in the ESW team, and significant experience in this field is sought. You will be an Associate Director already, and pride yourself on delivering results that can be acted on and can have an impact on policy making. You will get the chance to work on some of the most interesting and impactful research and evaluation studies in this area.

Applicants must have a relevant social research and/or evaluation consultancy background and be interested in working on a range of research (quantitative/qualitative) and evaluations.

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading proposals and revenue generation
  • Contributing to the successful management of contracts with key UK government departments
  • Leading studies and growing relationships with clients
  • Delivering a range of research and evaluation projects through the full project cycle
  • Supporting and developing skills and capabilities amongst junior team members
  • Signing off deliverables (proposals, research/evaluation tools, presentations, and reports)
  • Developing a strong understanding of clients’ needs and seeking opportunities to grow business

This role will suit candidates who enjoy working closely with clients, often delivering at a fast pace. We welcome interest from people with either a research or evaluation background, though you will need to have experience of delivering evaluations within ESW. We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience of delivering research and evaluation projects through the full project cycle, from design to developing conclusions and recommendations;
  • Mixed methods – proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research
  • Experience of writing winning proposals and delivering projects within the Employment, Welfare and Skills policy areas.
