About the role

To support Panmure Liberum's lead Research Analysts in maintaining and developing stock coverage across sectors. Assisting with broader responsibilities including drafting research commentaries, detailed reports, modelling company financials, maintaining data bases and meeting corporate clients and prospective clients.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the preparation of Equity Research notes: assist indrafting timely and insightful research publications, including companyupdates, sector reviews, and thematic pieces, ensuring high standardsof clarity, accuracy and analytical depth.


• Conduct financial modelling and data collection: build, maintain, andupdate detailed financial models to support valuation analysis andinvestment recommendations. Gather and interpret financial andindustry data from a variety of sources to inform research outputs.


• Assist with responding to client requests: provide prompt and well-researched responses to institutional client queries, including bespoke analysis, data provision, and follow-up on published research.


• Meet with management teams of companies under coverage: participate in meetings and conference calls with senior management of covered companies to gather insights, challenge assumptions, and enhance the quality of research coverage.


• Interact with the Equity Sales desk on key ideas and sector themes: collaborate closely with the Sales team to communicate investment ideas, sector trends, and Research findings, supporting clientengagement and idea generation.

Requirements

• University degree and ACCA/ACA qualification required


• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in financial services and keen interest inEquities
  


• Strong work ethic, highly articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills (DCF, comparables etc)


• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint (financial databases
  experience e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet advantageous)


• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking with the ability
  assimilate large volumes of information quickly


• Able to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple deadlines


• Works well in a team setting as well as independently
