Associate Relations Specialist, Melton Mowbray

Our client, a leading organisation in Waltham on the Wolds, Melton, is seeking an Associate Relations Specialist to join their team for a 3-month assignment. The role is based onsite in Waltham, which is very remote, so candidates must have their own car and be able to drive. The position offers an ASAP start.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with line managers to advise on performance, conduct, grievances, sickness, and workplace concerns.
  • Conduct fair and thorough associate relations investigations compliant with legislative requirements.
  • Coach managers on performance improvement and documentation processes.
  • Interpret and advise on AR policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with AR Manager on complex cases.
  • Manage case workloads proactively to ensure timely responses.
  • Participate in review meetings to identify trends and actions.
  • Work with P&O Business Partners on AR interventions.
  • Develop the capability of managers and partners in handling employee issues.
  • Support organisational change initiatives.
  • Partner with legal counsel on employment matters.
  • Participate in AR projects and initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Ideally CIPD qualified, with a degree or equivalent.
  • Significant HR and Employee Relations experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in case management and data analytics.
  • Ability to work independently with a high case load.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build trust.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK for meetings and stakeholder engagement.
