A prominent UK law firm located in Manchester is seeking a newly qualified lawyer for its fast-growing real estate team. This role offers exposure to a variety of local and national clients, providing opportunities to manage your own transactions with supportive supervision. You will be based in Manchester working with partners Caroline Hanratty, Rachel Pitman, Jennifer Lewis and Hannah Cheminais and their team. The Manchester Real Estate Team is one of the fastest growing in the region, moving up the rankings in the Legal Directories and having been in the shortlist for NW Business Insider Property Law Firm in each of the last 6 years. We have an enviable client list for whom we work in Manchester, including Bruntwood, Hillwood Investment Properties, Muse, Wain, Homes England, Urban&Civic, Kids Planet, University of Salford, Langtree Group and several local authorities. We also have a strong presence in the Health and Education sectors. The Manchester Real Estate team works both regionally and nationally and so in addition to Caroline, Hannah, Jennifer and Rachel, you will be working with partners who are based in other offices. Therefore, the role will involve working for a range of local and national clients with the opportunity to learn and develop your skills and knowledge with a view to you running your own transactions, with appropriate supervision and training, as well as working as part of a team on large transactions.
You will be newly qualified to 2 years' PQE or equivalent experience in real estate work (commercial property), gained in a quality regional or City law firm. You\'ll bring a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a creative approach to problem-solving. With excellent time and matter management skills, you\'ll be able to work systematically and flexibly with multiple partners and team members. Strong communication skills - including the ability to influence and build consensus - will be key to your success in this role. You\'ll also be confident in building client relationships. From day one, you\'ll be encouraged to get involved in business development, with support to grow your networking skills and establish your own professional connections.
The activities We will provide you with the opportunity to be involved and develop your skills in all areas of Real Estate work: development and regeneration projects, landlord and tenant, asset management, freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, investment work, corporate real estate, and due diligence reporting on corporate acquisitions.
