We have been appointed to represent a leading cost management firm based in Hampshire, renowned for delivering expert quantity surveying services across high-profile projects in Defence, Health, and Residential sectors.

This role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from £1 million to £600 million, providing broad exposure and opportunities for career growth both locally and nationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in cost management activities from project inception through to completion under the guidance of senior surveyors.
• Support preparation of feasibility studies, cost estimates, and cost plans across all design stages.
• Help evaluate building design costs and alternative proposals to ensure adherence to project budgets.
• Participate in preparing and issuing tender documentation and managing tender processes.
• Review tender returns, analyse submissions, and assist in making procurement recommendations.
• Support contract administration activities, including advising on building contract terms.
• Monitor project costs, prepare financial reports, and attend project meetings.
• Assist with post-contract cost control, including assessing variations and supporting final account negotiations.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and project teams.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and support of junior team members.
• Uphold professional standards and contribute positively to team culture.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (RICS accredited).
• Working towards MRICS or recently qualified MRICS is desirable.
• Some experience working on technically complex projects within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with NEC4 contracts is a strong advantage.
