“That doesn’t look right…”

That’s the kind of thinking we value most around here. If something feels off, and your instinct is to question it, you’re our kind of person.

Wubbleyou's mission is to assemble a team of great people - treat them well, and then build great software to make the world a better place. We bring awesome web and mobile tech products to market, which allow businesses to create scale they didn’t have before.

What we’re looking for

We take quality seriously, and we want someone who’s hardwired to care, to question, and to dig deep when something doesn’t look quite right.

Do you have an eye for bugs? Can you spot issues with user experience? Are you the person who tries to break things to see where the boundaries are?

Love the satisfaction of spotting that one thing no one else noticed, yet?

If so, we want to talk to you.

Because right now, we have 3 problems:

We ship valuable features fast, but we want sharper eyes on quality

We want to spot and solve issues before end users do

We want to build long term test assets into the business, so every QA hour spent on quality, is spent building reusable test suites that are automatically ran in future

So we’re fixing that. We’re on the lookout for a QA Engineer to join us part-time, to embed quality in what we deliver, catch what others miss, and build long term testing assets for our projects.

Who You Are

  • Proactive & Resourceful: You see opportunities for positive change, and act on it. Whether you’ve tackled a tough situation, lived abroad, or taken on something outside your comfort zone – you’ve seen something that irks you and have done something about it
  • Can Follow Process: We have things which work now, they just need to be done! You want to get those things done too, to generate results
  • Provocateur: You love testing new ideas, experimenting with tools, and trying better ways to do things. You want to try the scary things too
  • Builder at Heart: You’re excited about creating something meaningful and are willing to wear multiple hats to make it happen
  • Coachable: You’re open to learning, challenging ideas and being challenged on your ideas, and willing to change mindset and thinking
  • Detail-Oriented & Bold: You have a natural eye for when something’s off - and you don’t ignore it. You’re the one who flags it before it becomes a problem. You speak up when things need fixing.

Experience in QA or a Computer Science-related degree is helpful, but not essential.

What matters most is your passion for tech & growth, and a desire to learn.

Tools you will use and will be trained with (not exhaustive)

ClickUp: To log, reproduce, and manage bugs as part of our product delivery process, tracking QA insights, and collaborating with the team.

GitLab: To collaborate on projects, pull test environments, and follow changes made to the platforms. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring that tests you create also work in our automated continuous integration process, ensuring they are ran on every code change

What you’ll be doing...

Creating Confidence:

We move fast, but quality can’t be optional. You’ll keep our drumbeat of delivery solid by:

  • Running checklists and regression tests to keep our releases clean
  • Spotting inconsistencies, strange behaviour, or anything that “just doesn’t feel right”
  • Collaborating with developers to flag issues clearly and suggest improvements.

You won’t just follow test scripts, you’ll push boundaries by:

  • Playing with edge cases, weird inputs, and unexpected user paths
  • Exploring new tools or automation frameworks to speed things up
  • Using AI-powered testing or smart debugging tools to go deeper, faster
  • Bringing your own ideas on how we can improve quality and reliability
  • Building reusable and automated test suites - every hour you invest in QA, must be an hour creating a reusable asset for that project

Growing with us:

We’re a small, ambitious team, and your growth is part of our plan. You’ll:

  • Learn QA best practices and get experience with real products in production
  • Expand your skill set into areas like automation, dev tools, or product thinking
  • Take on more ownership as we scale, if that excites you
  • Build a strong foundation for a career in tech, QA and beyond

What you’ll get

  • Learning Opportunity: We’ll invest in your growth and pay you to learn practical skills in QA, testing tools, debugging, and automation. You’ll work alongside seasoned developers and product thinkers, learning from the best.
  • Flexibility: Work hours that fit around your schedule - perfect for university students or anyone looking for part-time, flexible work.
  • Diverse Experience: You’ll get exposure to manual and exploratory testing, learn how to write bug reports that developers love, and even dip your toes into automation or CI pipelines. You’ll be building reusable test assets, not just manually testing - you’ll be writing code
  • Evidence of Impact: Your work will directly contribute to improving the quality and stability of tech products used by millions of people. You’ll see the features you tested go live, and know you made them better. You’ll see internal real time quality dashboards, showing the impact of your role on quality
  • Remote First: Business space for collaboration, not pointless congregation
  • Learners are Earners: Protected time to learn and up-skill, unlocking higher salary bands
  • Hardware: Equipped to work from home, or the office
  • Shape the Business: We set objectives as a team, to achieve the overall mission
  • Shape your Future: We aim to offer solid progression opportunities
  • Mutual Commitment: Help us understand what you want to achieve, and we’ll work with you to empower it.
  • Holidays: 33 days holiday, prorated (25 days + bank holidays)
  • Pension

We Think This Role Suits Someone Who:

  • Is studying or has an interest in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Quality, or a related field
  • Wants to move beyond traditional part-time work and align their job with their career aspirations in tech
  • Is curious about how tech and AI can enhance product quality (don’t worry, we’ll support your learning!)

We know roles like this can often feel like “many roles bundled into one”

“But Mark, that’s 4 separate roles!”

We’re a small business – wearing a few hats is natural. If you’re excited to become skilled across multiple areas, this is the opportunity for you. We will find balance within your working hours.

Should you apply?

If you’re thinking about it, then yes.

You don’t need to hit every criterion – if you’re open to learning and you're coachable, we have a great team and we will teach you what you don’t know yet, and who are open to learning what you can teach them

How to apply

Does this excite you? Or nervous excite you?

We’d love to hear from you.

  • Send us your CV
  • Tell us one thing you would change about what we’ve propositioned in this role, if you think there is a better way to create better quality tech products, feel free to use video (max 3 minutes) or text – but keep it brief!

(No Agencies please)

I am looking forward to meeting you!

Mark
