Opportunity: Associate in Thames Valley Property Disputes Team

We currently have an opportunity for an Associate to join our Thames Valley Property Disputes team.

Our Property Disputes team specialises in real estate disputes, acting for both residential and large commercial clients across the UK.

We are looking for someone who can consistently deliver high-quality legal advice in a commercially astute manner and provide outstanding client service at all times. The role also involves assisting with marketing the department’s services and engaging in business development activities to enhance the firm and team’s reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Managing a diverse caseload of residential and commercial disputes, and assisting Partners with more complex matters as needed.
  2. Building credibility with clients and developing client relationships by managing expectations regarding options, outcomes, risks, and timescales.
  3. Taking responsibility for managing delegated project aspects and meeting deadlines.
  4. Supporting junior team members with technical, business, and general advice.
  5. Assisting with the budget management of client matters.
Skills, Experience, and Attributes:
  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 4+ PQE.
  • Previous experience in general property litigation.
  • Interest or exposure to specialisms such as service charge disputes, TOLATA claims, or property-related professional negligence is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage own files and delegate work effectively.
  • Strong client management skills with a focus on delivering excellent service.
  • Keen interest in business development and marketing.
