Job summary

Ciena, a global leader in high-speed connectivity, seeks an Associate Services Project Manager to support customer services projects. You will work under a Senior Project Manager to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and financial outcomes in a flexible, people-first environment.

You will lead implementation activities, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, analyze proposals for timelines and funding, and communicate project status and risks to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Up to 12 months related project management work experience strongly preferred.
• Application of critical thinking and analysis to evaluate multidimensional problems and generate solutions.
• Application of judgment and decision-making across multiple alternatives.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a matrix organization involving multiple stakeholders.
• Utilization of Microsoft Project and Salesforce project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead project implementation activities within customer networks.
• Ensure project scope, schedules, deliverables, quality objectives, and service margin targets are achieved.
• Analyse project proposals to determine timelines, funding limitations, and execution approaches.
• Identify, schedule, and track deliverables, milestones, tasks, and project communications.
• Document and communicate project status, risks, obstacles, and resolutions to management.
• Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation plans.
• Coordinate with Customer Operations, Sales, Bid Management, Service Delivery, Finance, and other stakeholders to achieve project and financial objectives.
