Job summary

Ciena is seeking an Associate Services Project Manager to contribute to successful delivery of customer services projects in a collaborative, customer-focused environment.

You will lead project implementation activities within customer networks and help ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining quality and service margins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Up to 12 months related project management work experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Salesforce project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead project implementation activities within customer networks.
• Ensure project scope, schedules, deliverables, quality objectives, and service margin targets are achieved.
• Analyse proposals to determine timelines, funding, and execution approaches.
• Identify, schedule, and track deliverables, milestones, tasks, and communications.
• Document and communicate project status, risks, obstacles, and resolutions to management.
• Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation plans.
• Coordinate with Customer Operations, Sales, Bid Management, Service Delivery, Finance and other stakeholders to achieve project and financial objectives.

• Lead project implementation activities within customer networks.
• Ensure project scope, schedules, deliverables, quality objectives, and service margin targets are achieved.
• Analyse project proposals to determine timelines, funding limitations, and execution approaches.
• Identify, schedule, and track deliverables, milestones, tasks, and project communications.
• Document and communicate project status, risks, obstacles, and resolutions to management.
• Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation plans.
• Coordinate with Customer Operations, Sales, Bid Management, Service Delivery, Finance, and other stakeholders to achieve project and financial objectives.
  Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Up to 12 months related project management work experience strongly preferred.
• Application of critical thinking and analysis to evaluate multidimensional problems and generate solutions.
• Application of judgment and decision-making across multiple alternatives.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities.
