Description

System C is the UK's leading Health and social care software and services company. Our easy-to-use IT platforms provide a complete view of the individual across all care settings, helping integrate services and improve care. We are a British company with over 35 years' experience.

Our Health and Social Care division solutions use leading-edge technologies - including mobile, wearables, instant messaging, and machine learning - to radically redesign services and the way clinicians and patients interact together.

Purpose of the Role:

The Associate Project Support Officer (PSO) apprenticeship role provides an exciting opportunity to start your career in project support while gaining a recognised Level 4 qualification. Through on-the-job experience and structured learning, you will develop key competencies in communication, data handling, organisation, and stakeholder engagement. This role is ideal for individuals who are organised, curious, proactive, and passionate about making a difference in the healthcare and social care landscape.

Duties and Responsibilities

With support and training, you will:

  • Assist with managing the PMO mailbox, logging and prioritising requests.
  • Help coordinate responses to requests for information from sales or internal stakeholders.
  • Support project planning by helping prepare and maintain project documentation.
  • Contribute to the scheduling and tracking of resources for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Help monitor project timelines, milestones and risks, ensuring information is kept up to date.
  • Assist in preparing status reports and dashboards using standard templates.
  • Learn to use internal systems such as PSA tools for timesheets, resourcing, and financial tracking.
  • Participate in project review and closure processes, helping gather lessons learned.
  • Attend meetings to take minutes and follow up on actions as required.
  • Promote the use of best-practice project governance frameworks.

The post holder will actively champion the use of best practice governance processes, to ensure the projects meet or exceed delivery expectations.

Required Personal Attributes:

  • A keen interest in project management and service delivery.
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Able to work collaboratively and respectfully with others.
  • Any prior experience (school, volunteering, or work) involving team projects or administration.
  • Familiarity with digital tools like Teams, SharePoint, or project/task tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
  • An interest in digital health, care, or the NHS landscape.
  • Qualification: Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship (with APM certification).
  • Duration: 18-24 months.
  • Training: Provided by a System C and apprenticeship approved learning provider.
  • Support: You'll receive mentoring and regular performance reviews throughout your apprenticeship.
