Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) provides support for the successful implementation of nuclear power plant projects at Holtec International. Projects encompass all phases of the project life cycle and may focus on various specialties including engineering design, construction, and large component manufacturing. The APM is an effective communicator who follows established processes with the overall project management team. Principal duties include:

  1. Collection of contract and project requirements
  2. Planning and conducting meetings
  3. Assisting engineering, manufacturing, and/or construction management teams in their work development
  4. Supporting cross-team communication
  5. Establishing and updating tasks or timelines as needed
  6. Maintaining project metrics such as budget, schedule, and KPIs
  7. Reviewing product designs for compliance with engineering principles, contract requirements, and standards
  8. Preparing proposals and commercial quotes for out-of-scope work as required
  9. Implementing project management tools to ensure project success
Qualifications

All candidates MUST possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year university
  • Strong time management, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency
  • This role is open to both experienced and entry-level applicants
  • Relevant project management experience (not required for entry-level applicants)
