Purpose of Role

You will work as part of the PMO team, striving to deliver project success across McLaren Racing. Supporting the Project Managers, you’ll be involved in a wide variety of projects from Business Performance to F1. We are investing in the growth of our project management capability, it’s an exciting time to join the team as we strive to successfully support our people in delivering critical projects as part of the McLaren Racing portfolio.

Role Dimensions

  • Assisting the project managers with day-to-day tasks across all projects.

  • Assisting project teams with preparation of monthly reporting, ensuring timely submission and adhering to a firm reporting cycle.

  • Coordinate meetings: booking meetings rooms, sending invitations, preparing meeting content such as, slide decks, taking minutes and updating follow up action plans.

  • Document control: maintain and develop document libraries.

  • Assist and support the PMO team with research and prepare reports for project feasibility studies.

  • Ad hoc duties as required by Project Managers or specific project teams.

Job requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Degree educated or the equivalent experience in a project management environment.

  • AMP PFQ or equivalent desirable.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Highly organised with strong admin skills.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to translate at times complex information succinctly to suit the audience.

  • Proactive attitude to work and willing to “roll their sleeves up” to get the job done.

  • Curious by nature with a focus on service excellence by asking questions and flagging issues when spotted.

  • Be a competent user of MS Office suite including, SharePoint, Powerpoint, Teams and Planner is essential.

  • Have an understanding of document management systems, process and best practices.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders across all levels of the business.

  • Ability to multitask over several ongoing projects and priorities whilst managing time-sensitive tasks.

  • Keen problem solver, who enjoys tackling at times complex challenges to find appropriate solutions.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Here at McLaren, we offer hybrid working with 3 days a week based in the MTC.

The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30 minute train ride.
