Our client requires staff to contribute across their Engineering and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence programmes, this role requires expertise on BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

About The Role

The organisation requires staff to contribute across their Engineering and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence programmes.

Academics teaching on the programmes should be skilled in guiding students through real‑world challenges, supporting multidisciplinary teamwork, and using industry‑standard tools and workflows reflecting a highly practical, project‑based pedagogy. They should be confident in embedding sustainability, ethics, inclusivity, and responsible innovation into their teaching, reflecting the programme’s emphasis on professional identity and societal impact.

The role requires the following programme‑specific expertise:

BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering: Candidates should bring strong expertise in core electrical and electronic engineering, from circuits, semiconductors and communications to control, power systems and electromagnetics, and be able to bring these ideas to life through practical, real‑world engineering challenges.

About You:
Qualifications / Professional Membership
  • Doctorate in relevant subject. Chartered/Professional status where relevant. Senior Fellowship of HEA (Descriptor 3).
Teaching & Learning
  • Lead development and delivery of entire programmes.
  • Mentor junior colleagues in teaching / module leadership.
  • Innovate new teaching methods and disseminate.
  • Supervise doctoral students.
  • Lead organisation of field trips, placements, practice activities.
  • Quality assurance leadership for teaching.
Research, Scholarship &/or Practice
  • Sustained research output of international quality.
  • Significant grant capture.
  • Lead research groups / projects.
  • Supervise PhDs / postdocs.
  • Disseminate widely (journals, books, exhibitions).
Knowledge Exchange & External Engagement
  • Lead external networks and partnerships.
  • Engage in consultancy and collaborations.
  • External examining roles.
Academic Citizenship & Leadership
  • Lead significant departmental/faculty roles (e.g., Programme Director, REF/TEF lead).
  • Mentor colleagues.
  • Chair committees.
  • Contribute to faculty‑level decision making.
