About The Role

The organisation requires staff to contribute across their Engineering and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence programmes.

Academics teaching on the programmes should generally be skilled in guiding students through real-world challenges, supporting multidisciplinary teamwork, and using industry-standard tools and workflows given the highly practical, project-based pedagogy they have. They should be confident embedding sustainability, ethics, inclusivity, and responsible innovation into their teaching, reflecting the programme’s emphasis on professional identity and societal impact.

The role requires the following programme-specific expertise:

BEng Engineering with Artificial Intelligence: Candidates will need strong foundations in engineering principles, mathematics, computational methods, and the application of AI and machine learning to real-world engineering problems. They should also be capable of fostering students’ research capability, technical fluency, and confidence in applying AI-enabled engineering solutions across the curriculum.

Candidates will also need experience of teaching cyber security to Level 6.

Qualifications / Professional Membership

• Doctorate in relevant subject (or equivalent professional / industry experience)
• PGCert in Learning & Teaching in HE or Equivalent
• Fellowship of HEA (Descriptor 2 of UKPSF).

Teaching & Learning
