The Role:

StudioXAG is looking for an Associate Production Director to lead the strategic direction and operational performance of our Production function. You’ll ensure excellence in execution across all physical and experiential projects, balancing commercial, creative and delivery goals from our London Studio.
You’ll report into the Head of Production, and lead our production management department; inspiring a team of producers, makers and specialists, while shaping scalable systems and supplier partnerships that allow us to deliver world-class work.
You will bring senior-level leadership, deep production knowledge, and future-focused thinking to elevate the department, the team and the studio’s reputation across all that we deliver.

Who exactly are we looking for?

We’re looking for a quality-driven strategic leader with extensive experience managing complex fabrication projects in the creative industry, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative and ever-evolving environment.

Ideal Experience:

  • 10+ years' experience in creative production management
  • Extensive experience delivering high-value, high-impact fabrication projects for retail and experiential brands
  • Proven track record of managing large, complex project portfolios and teams
  • Deep understanding of materials, fabrication processes and production technologies
  • Excellent people management and mentoring capabilities
  • Strong commercial acumen and a detail-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Financial management experience including costing, tracking and billing
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and Quoting & Resourcing Software - Synergist (or equivalent).

Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Set and lead the strategic direction for Production, ensuring alignment with StudioXAG’s creative and commercial goals
  • Build and maintain scalable processes, systems and supplier networks to support high-quality delivery across all project types
  • Lead and mentor the Production Management team, providing day-to-day support, coaching and career development
  • Oversee the successful delivery of complex fabrication projects; on time, on budget, and to the highest creative and technical standards
  • Drive resource and capacity planning across the studio, working closely with Traffic and senior stakeholders
  • Lead procurement strategy and manage key supplier relationships to ensure efficiency, value and sustainability
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients and collaborators, supporting new business and managing key stakeholder relationships
  • Champion innovation, quality and continuous improvement across production practices, tools and technologies
  • Ensure robust compliance with H&S and risk management protocols across all stages of production

Location:

This role is based in our East London studio in E10. Our normal working hours are 9am - 6pm but flexible working hours and days are available.

Salary:

From £60,000 dependent on experience
