If you are experienced in designing and implementing Power Systems and want to work on international projects, this role as Associate Engineer in our Power Systems department could be ideal. Your new role

Lead our Power Systems team, collaborating across disciplines to deliver client solutions in the energy sector. Provide expertise on power systems for projects involving district energy, energy transition, waste-to-energy, and wind. Our services include feasibility studies, concept design, technical analysis, and acting as Owner’s Engineer throughout project lifecycles.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Be the UK Power Systems expert for energy projects, contributing at all project stages.
2. Design electrical systems for new connections or upgrades, including HV and EHV connections.
3. Create connection strategies, equipment sizing, and substation layouts across voltage levels.
4. Review technical documentation and studies.
5. Build and lead a team for detailed power system analysis as needed.
6. Coordinate between Ramboll UK and global teams.
7. Support decarbonisation masterplans by advising on loads, feasibility, and grid impacts.
8. Stay updated on policy and regulation changes affecting power systems.
9. Contribute to tender responses and business development.
10. Monitor supplier developments, equipment lead times, and costs.
11. Perform Due Diligence and Owner’s Engineer activities.
12. Manage bids and projects throughout their lifecycle.
13. Stay informed about ancillary, balancing, and flexibility market services.
