Job summary

MLC Partners Limited recruits an Associate People Partner for a charity in Hampton. The role provides practical HR advice across the organisation, supporting managers and employees on a wide range of people-related matters while contributing to a positive, inclusive working environment.

Reporting to the People Partner, you will handle employee relations, maternity/paternity, payroll liaison, recruitment support and policy reviews.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualified or part-qualified, or equivalent professional experience.
• Generalist HR experience advising managers.
• Experience in the public sector.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and employee relations processes.
• Experience managing disciplinary, grievance and absence cases.
• Confident using HR systems and producing management information.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, approachable and pragmatic approach to resolving HR matters.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on employment law, policies and procedures.
• Support employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management and sickness absence.
• Manage HR processes relating to maternity, paternity, flexible working, contractual changes and employee exits.
• Work closely with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee changes.
• Support equality, diversity, inclusion and employee wellbeing initiatives.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems and reporting.
• Review and update HR policies and procedures for compliance and consistency.
• Support recruitment, retention and wider People and Culture projects.
• Partner with managers to promote positive employee relations and effective people management.
