We're working with a consultancy based in Preston looking for an Associate / Partner Level Chartered Building Surveyor who's ready to take the reins - not just on projects, but on the business itself. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior role with a genuine pathway to equity ownership.

Job Role

As a senior figure within the team, you'll lead a mix of Chartered and non-Chartered staff, overseeing a range of instructions - both from long-standing frameworks and bespoke projects. Alongside delivering expert building surveying services, you'll play a central role in driving business development and supporting company-wide decisions in areas like finance and marketing.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Delivering the full scope of commercial Chartered Building Surveyor duties
  2. Leading and mentoring your team
  3. Acting as client lead on key projects and programmes
  4. Contributing to strategic business management and growth

Requirements

  1. MRICS or FRICS accreditation
  2. Extensive experience in the private sector (commercial, education, or industrial)
  3. Strong understanding of CDM and the Building Safety Act
  4. Familiarity with BIM preferred
  5. Proven senior management capability
  6. Confident with software such as NBS, AutoCAD, and SAGE
  7. Full UK driving licence
