Beach Baker is proud to be working with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary property consultancy in their search for an Associate or Associate Partner to join their growing Development team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded, strategic thinker to step into a key leadership role during an exciting phase of regional expansion.

The Role

This is a diverse and senior-level position focused on residential, mixed-use, and strategic land projects. You will support clients ranging from private landowners to institutions and developers across Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset, and the wider South West.

You'll be responsible for leading high-value consultancy advice, transactional work, and strategic land initiatives-while also helping grow the Development service line in both team size and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage acquisitions and disposals of development land (immediate and strategic).
• Advise on planning, development, and value-maximisation strategies.
• Carry out appraisals and viability assessments using Argus Developer (or equivalent).
• Support negotiations for complex agreements-promotion, joint venture, option, and conditional contracts.
• Contribute to major residential-led and mixed-use schemes alongside the planning team.
• Identify new business opportunities and strengthen client relationships across the region.

What We're Looking For

• MRICS-qualified with strong post-qualification experience in development consultancy.
• Solid track record in land agency, appraisals, and strategic consultancy.
• Highly proficient in financial modelling tools such as Argus Developer.
• Exceptional communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
• Ambitious and collaborative team player ready to take the next step in leadership.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South West.
