Job summary

Carter Jonas in London is seeking a forward-thinking Landlord & Tenant expert to join our national Lease Advisory team. Based at One Chapel Place, this role offers national coverage with strong local expertise across our hub offices.

You will lead a small established team, drive client relationships and secure new instructions while delivering successful lease and asset management outcomes for high-profile assets. MRICS is preferred.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualified with significant experience in commercial real estate.
• Extensive knowledge of lease advisory at local and national levels.
• Ability to lead junior team members and develop client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in Landlord & Tenant knowledge/experience.
• Handle rent reviews and lease renewal instructions.
• Support lease and asset management opportunities; inspect and measure assets.
• Gather comparable evidence and prepare client schedules and lease event reports.
• Liaise with clients and reporting findings.
• Attend meetings with clients, opposing advisors and colleagues.
• Proactively participate in growing the Lease Advisory team.
• Identify and secure new instructions from existing and new clients.
• Assist Partners with larger instructions and client relationships.
• Develop cross-selling fee opportunities with other Carter Jonas teams.
• Promote Lease Advisory within Carter Jonas and beyond.

We’re looking for a forward-thinking, innovative Landlord & Tenant expert to join and support the growth of our national Lease Advisory team in this exciting, high-potential role. The role will be based predominantly out of our London headquarters, One Chapel Place but operating across our main hub offices, giving us a rare and advantageous mix of national coverage and local expertise.

The team is growing and works across the regions and collaborates closely with the wider Commercial division. This is your chance to be part of an established team, shaping and influencing the direction and strategy for national expansion. As a Landlord & Tenant specialist, you’ll have the opportunity to deliver on high-profile assets, while fostering an environment of growth, collaboration, and success.

You’ll be part of a small, established team of professionals, while playing a key role in securing new clients and nurturing long-term relationships. Your experience in managing diverse landlord & tenant matters and delivering successful outcomes will be critical to driving the team’s performance and supporting the wider business goals. We’ve built strong, long-term relationships with a range of clients, including: Scope, HS2, Royal Mail, Hertfordshire County Council, Network Rail.

What will it take to be successful?

You will ideally be MRICS qualified with significant experience across commercial real estate with a focus on Landlord & Tenant. You will have extensive knowledge of lease advisory both at a local and national level, with the ability to develop and foster client relationships across a range of high profile assets. Your experience will enable you to identify new opportunities and build business across the commercial division utilising your industry contracts. Finally, within this role you will lead and guide junior members, whilst also demonstrating ambition to continue with your own personal development.
