About the role

We are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Science and Research team in London. The role can be mechanically or electrically biased.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on projects ranging from commercial laboratory fit-outs to collaborations with higher education and research institutions. You will join a collaborative, knowledgeable, and high-performing team that values flexibility and support.

The role includes three main areas: project leadership, team leadership, and work winning, which are key to our succession planning and career development.

You will:

• Manage the technical delivery of electrical or mechanical design services for multidisciplinary projects in Science and Research sectors.
• Develop strategic concepts ensuring solutions meet project briefs and standards.
• Engage with stakeholders, attend meetings, and communicate project needs effectively.
• Assist in monitoring project budgets, resources, and deliverables.
• Mentor and support junior professionals, including apprentices and graduates.

About you

We seek a candidate with strong leadership and communication skills to inspire and drive the sector and office forward. You will help lead the team and uphold high standards of excellence.

To succeed, you should have:

• Proven experience as an Associate or Senior Associate Engineer, with a record of delivering complex projects.
• Experience with modern technical delivery tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux, and Relux.
• Experience working with clients, contractors, and architects in a design or consultancy role.
• Self-awareness, openness, and a collaborative spirit.
• Experience supporting others’ development.
