Job summary

A leading landscape architecture firm in Manchester is looking for an Associate / Associate Director Landscape Architect & Planner to join their team. You will take on a client-facing role, manage projects from concept to detailed design, and engage in landscape and urban design across various sectors. Qualifications

  • Degree level qualification in Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent.
  • Postgraduate Diploma / Masters qualification in Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent.
  • Established track record authoring Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals and Assessments.
  • Proven experience delivering landscape and urban design projects from site analysis to detailed design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, author and co‑coordinate Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals.
  • Manage design projects through all LI/RIBA stages.
  • Prepare bids for multi‑disciplinary projects.
  • Client engagement through design advice and leading workshops.

Associate / Associate Director Landscape Architect & Landscape Planner – Manchester

We are seeking suitably qualified associate or associate director Landscape Architect and Landscape Planner to join our Manchester Landscape & Urban Design team. The role will be part of a collaborative team serving the UK and Ireland, delivering projects across public and private sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Be integral part of a vibrant, ambitious and friendly team.
  • As a Landscape Planner, lead, author and co‑coordinate Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals and Assessments.
  • As a Landscape Architect, lead on design projects, including urban realm and mixed‑use developments, through all LI/RIBA stages, generally working in a BIM Level 2 environment.
  • Support the continued development of relationships with clients in public and private sectors.
  • Prepare bids, from small to complex multi‑disciplinary projects.
  • Lead, manage and delegate project work to junior members of the team.
  • Client‑facing role, involving design advice, leading workshops and stakeholder events.
  • Join internal multi‑disciplinary working groups promoting innovation, excellence and thought leadership.
Qualifications
  • Degree level qualification in Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent.
  • Postgraduate Diploma / Masters qualification in Landscape Architecture or recognised equivalent.
  • Established track record authoring Landscape and Visual Impact Appraisals and Assessments.
  • Established track record successfully delivering landscape and urban design projects, from initial site analysis and concept design through to detailed design including the production of information for planning and construction.
  • Excellent technical skills and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Fluent spoken English with excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
