Job summary

QinetiQ Limited in Farnborough is seeking an Associate Noise and Vibration Engineer to help protect military personnel by evaluating how noise and vibration affect safety, comfort and performance. You'll join the Human Performance Noise & Vibration Team and work on lab and field trials using specialist equipment.

You will collect and analyse data, prepare reports, support vehicle and aircraft trials, and contribute to hearing protection and vibration mitigation solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Acoustics or a related STEM field.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Experience with laboratory and field acoustic testing.
• Willingness to travel within the UK.
• Experience with MATLAB or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver noise and vibration trials in lab and field.
• Collect, process and analyze acoustic and vibration data.
• Assess noise exposure and vibration effects on human performance.
• Prepare and maintain measurement equipment.
• Contribute to technical reports and customer deliverables.
• Support evaluation of hearing protection systems.
