Description

The Associate Medical Strategy Director will implement top-tier medical strategies at McCann Health London, ensuring scientific rigor and strategic differentiation. They will be part of the leadership team, fostering cross-disciplinary partnerships, supporting business growth, and elevating the medical strategy discipline within the agency.

Responsibilities

Knowledge/Expertise

• Apply disease state and clinical knowledge to inform strategic recommendations for key brands.

Strategic Skills/Tools

• Combine scientific understanding with market awareness to develop high-level communication plans.
• Collaborate with the Director of Medical Strategy to execute departmental strategies.

Client Relationships

• Meet key client needs and deliverables.
• Participate in brand planning and lead scientific workshops and projects.
• Represent medical strategy in client workshops.

Business Development

• Support new business initiatives by leading medical strategy in pitches.

Communication Skills

• Present confidently to internal teams, clients, and KOLs.
• Build cooperative relationships across disciplines and senior management.
• Demonstrate leadership and manage direct reports effectively.

Requirements

• PhD preferred but not essential.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
• Experience in medical strategy within healthcare advertising.
