NHS Orkney is seeking an exceptional medical leader to take on the pivotal role of Associate Medical Director (AMD) – Primary and Secondary Care. This is a unique position designed to strengthen the integration between primary and secondary care in Orkney, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred services.

This full-time (10 PA) role is split between Primary Care and Secondary Care, offering a rare opportunity for a senior clinician to influence strategy, develop services, and improve patient care across the whole health system. Up to 2 PA (1 day per week) are available for SPA and clinical activity to support your ongoing clinical role.

The role is suitable for GPs, Doctors, and Consultants, making it an attractive career move for experienced clinicians with leadership experience and a focus on service improvement.
