Are you a media disputes lawyer looking to step up into a more dynamic, entrepreneurial environment? This thriving City boutique offers the perfect mix of high-end clients, interesting work, and a collaborative, forward-thinking culture.

The Firm

This highly regarded commercial boutique is known for its sharp legal minds, entrepreneurial energy, and deep expertise across litigation, IP, media, and commercial law. Founded by partners from leading international firms, it combines top-tier work with a progressive approach to practice.

Clients range from household-name global media and tech companies to influencers, publishers, production companies, and high-profile individuals. The firm has built a strong reputation for handling complex, high-stakes disputes with commercial precision and a creative edge.

The culture is open, collaborative, and refreshingly non-hierarchical. Lawyers at all levels are trusted with real responsibility, supported to grow, and given direct access to clients from day one. Flexible working is standard, and progression is based on ability, not time served.

The Role

You will join a well-established media litigation team working alongside Partners who are recognised leaders in the field. The practice handles a wide range of contentious matters across reputation management, privacy, defamation, copyright, injunctions, data, and commercial media disputes.

The work is complex and high profile, often involving urgent interim relief, cross-border issues, and significant media scrutiny. The firm is particularly strong at representing clients in the digital media space, as well as high-net-worth individuals and creatives.

You will be involved in all aspects of case strategy, client management, drafting, and advocacy, with the opportunity to take on real responsibility and grow quickly. You will also be encouraged to contribute to business development and thought leadership within the practice.

What Makes This Role Stand Out

  • Work on high-profile and intellectually stimulating media litigation matters
  • Join a standout team of media and IP specialists with deep sector expertise
  • Be part of a boutique that combines top-tier work with a modern, flexible culture
  • Flat structure, direct client contact, and meaningful responsibility from day one
  • A supportive team that champions development and progression
  • Hybrid working and true flexibility
  • Long-term progression opportunities, including a transparent and substantial equity path

Requirements

  • You will be a qualified solicitor with 3 to 6 years of PQE in media litigation
  • Strong experience in reputation, privacy, defamation, or content-related disputes
  • A solid grounding in IP, data, or broader commercial litigation is a bonus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A commercial mindset and a genuine interest in media and creative sectors
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and the confidence to take initiative

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented mid-level media litigator to join a growing City boutique where you can develop your career in a supportive, high-quality environment.
