Job Description:

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client-focused mechanical engineer to join our Critical Systems team. You will play a leading role in delivering innovative mechanical design solutions for high-profile Data Centre and Critical Systems projects in the UK and internationally.

Your responsibilities include managing and supporting mechanical engineers, maintaining project fees and schedules, reviewing designs, and communicating with project and client teams. You will be involved in the design process and produce design deliverables as needed.

You will develop and nurture client relationships to maximize satisfaction and ensure repeat business. You will also use your expertise to manage, motivate, and inspire less experienced engineers, supporting and being supported by senior management within the team.

The Skills

You should be a Chartered Engineer, educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng, BEng, or equivalent), with experience in a Mechanical Engineering role within Data Centre/Critical Systems and Building Services contexts.

Given the client-facing nature of this role, a proven customer and quality-focused approach is essential.

You should have extensive experience in the Data Centre field, with a strong understanding of Data Centre design and delivery principles across various projects. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and lead less senior engineers to exceed client expectations is crucial.

You must have a passion for creative and intuitive design.

Note: While the preferred location is our London office, applications for candidates in our Newcastle office will also be considered.
