Develop and maintain design history documentation in accordance with established new product development procedures.
Construct functional mechanical/electrical prototype systems throughout the design process.
Assist with qualification test activities to ensure products comply with technical specifications and requirements. Generate test protocols and document test results.
Coordinate with external resources and suppliers for component and subsystem sourcing.
Interact with internal cross-functional departments to complete project-related activities.
Participate in project and technical design reviews.
Ensure compliance with quality control policies and applicable regulatory standards.
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or related field
Experience: 0-4 years of relevant product development experience or 5-10 years of design-related experience with molded plastic components in lieu of BS degree.
Experience with 3D solid modeling and file management software (SolidWorks/PDM)
Ability to read, understand, and produce engineering drawings
Proficiency with MS Office applications
Familiar with basic machining and fabrication principles, injection molding, and plastic part assembly processes
Experience creating documentation associated with new product development
Team-oriented and capable of working in a multi-disciplinary and creative environment
Highly motivated and capable of setting and achieving goals with minimal supervision
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
