Associate Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

• No Visa Sponsorship
• On-site in Somerset, PA
• Develop and maintain design history documentation in accordance with established new product development procedures.
• Construct functional mechanical/electrical prototype systems throughout the design process.
• Assist with qualification test activities to ensure products comply with technical specifications and requirements. Generate test protocols and document test results.
• Coordinate with external resources and suppliers for component and subsystem sourcing.
• Interact with internal cross-functional departments to complete project-related activities.
• Participate in project and technical design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with quality control policies and applicable regulatory standards.

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or related field
• Experience: 0-4 years of relevant product development experience or 5-10 years of design-related experience with molded plastic components in lieu of BS degree.
• Experience with 3D solid modeling and file management software (SolidWorks/PDM)
• Ability to read, understand, and produce engineering drawings
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Familiar with basic machining and fabrication principles, injection molding, and plastic part assembly processes
• Experience creating documentation associated with new product development
• Team-oriented and capable of working in a multi-disciplinary and creative environment
• Highly motivated and capable of setting and achieving goals with minimal supervision
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
