Job Title: Associate Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Southwark, London

Salary: £60,000 + Benefits

Company Overview

A medium-sized building services engineering consultancy based near Southwark, with a strong industry reputation and expanding rapidly. The company employs over 50 engineers and technicians across London, working on a diverse range of projects including commercial, pharmaceutical, hotel, and educational sectors within London and the home counties.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Design, plan, and coordinate projects through all RIBA stages.
  2. Attend client and design team meetings.
  3. Manage key client accounts.
  4. Produce high-performance mechanical building services designs for landmark projects.
  5. Assist the Director with project bids, contracts, resource, and fee forecasting.
  6. Produce Mechanical and HVAC designs compliant with Building Regulations and CIBSE guidelines.
Candidate Requirements
  1. At least 6 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
  2. Knowledge of building regulations and CIBSE guidelines.
  3. Experience working in a client-facing role.
  4. Experience with programmes such as Hevacomp for Mechanical Design.
  5. Good commercial awareness.
  6. Passionate about the industry and eager to progress.
Opportunities

This role offers a pathway to Associate Director level within 12 months for the right candidate.
