Associate Materials Analyst in GAC Farnborough
We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical skills and planning experience. The role involves supply chain management activities to maintain accurate part inventories at optimal stock levels, supporting global demands.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience capable of performing the essential functions of the job.
Unique Skills:
Strong analytical skills and planning experience are preferred.
Position Purpose:
Under supervision, perform supply chain management activities to ensure efficient inventory levels and meet business demands.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management of parts.
- Apply sound judgment and supply chain knowledge to meet performance metrics.
- Respond to emerging trends impacting the business.
- Analyze KPIs to achieve supply chain service level goals.
- Understand financial and logistical impacts of inventory decisions.
- Manage core buyback and vendor activities to meet turnaround times.
- Perform lifecycle planning on inventory items.
- Recommend changes to tactical supply chain plans as needed.
- Assess excess inventory for redistribution, sale, or disposal.
- Build relationships with other departments to solve supply issues.
Additional Functions:
- Develop replenishment plans to address inventory imbalances.
- Prepare reports on workload, inventory, logistics, and customer fill rate.
- Review engineering drawings and vendor catalogs to determine spare requirements.
- Conduct audits and train new staff.
- Travel may be required up to 25%.
- Maintain a professional development plan.
Other Requirements:
Experience with aircraft parts and regulations is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
